Activision has announced that award-winning development studio, High Moon Studios, will be developing the new Tranformers game titled “Transformers: War for Cybertron”. Players will experience, for the first time, the world of Cybertron as they witness the history of the Autobot and Decepticon rivalry. Fans will be wowed by the new sci-fi art style in Transformers: War for Cybertron which helps greatly in giving life to the living, metallic world of Cybertron. Both Autobots and Decepticons will be receiving makeovers since they are returning to their place of origin. We will see them both in their former exteriors, their original Cybertronian forms. Hasbro will not be taking the backseat this time. This will be their first time working with Activision to keep the fiction of Transformers solid and flexible as they create new story arcs in order to preserve the Transformers franchise for many years to come. The new title will be in development for Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Sony’s Playstation 3, Nintendo’s Wii and DS, and Window’s PC. Of course, in a story that involves war, you can expect there to be a new Multiplayer system. Not only a new Multiplayer system which includes multiple head-to-head online game modes, but the all new option to join your fellow gamers in team-based online co-op.
The official site for the new IP has launched but with very little data. Currently, there is a countdown on the main page, written in Bot language. We assume the countdown is counting down the days until the entire “Transformers: War for Cybertron” site becomes available. In the meantime, sign up to receive future “Transmissions” there.
