ORIGINAL POST: In the wake of E3, the news just keeps on coming. Today, Game Informer released news that the upcoming Batman action/adventure title Arkham City will add a special character in the “challenge maps” section. If you pre-order the game from Best Buy, you will be able to play as Robin, the Boy Wonder.

As far as we know right now, this offer is for the US only and will be restricted to pre-orders. The official Twitter feed for Arkham City news teased that more info is to come, so this may expand to post-release DLC. We will update you as we know more.

The addition of Robin makes him the third playable character in the game, on top of Batman and Catwoman. The previous two characters are known for their stealth and gadgetry, but what does Robin have to offer? My guess is that his maps would focus on his acrobat training, or they would if Rocksteady doesn’t just skin Batman and make him smaller and more expendable.

But on this I swear: if I hear one “Holy ____!”, I’m going to rip that disc out of the console and fling it out the window.

  1. Ha, I commented before I read your Holy comment.

But really, if I hear NightWing is DLC with someone else then I'm buying this game like 4 times.

  2. As long as he isn't involved in the proper campaign, then I guess it's fine
