Hot! Arkham City GOTY Edition Announced w/ Harley Quinn DLC

Batman-Arkham_City_Wallpaper

For the last month, I’ve been neck-deep in Batman: Arkham City, revisiting the madness in Game Plus mode (an experience I’ll write about, as it has shortened my life expectancy considerably). I’d forgotten how much fun it was, and as a consequence, I’ve been buying up DLC to prolong my time with the Caped Crusader. What a surprise, then, when Rocksteady and WB Games announced a “Game of the Year” edition of Arkham City to go on sale next month.

Much like the GOTY edition for Arkham Asylum, Arkham City GOTY will have all the previously released DLC included on the disc. Every bonus mission, every character skin, and even a downloadable copy of the animated film Batman: Year One. But, and this was the kicker for me, the final DLC episode will also be included on the disc: the previously unreleased “Harley Quinn’s Revenge.” No details have been announced as to what the DLC will contain, but the Arkham City Twitter feed released a HQ teaser image, which you should only click on if you’ve played through the campaign completely as it contains a big ol’ spoiler front and center.

Arkham City: GOTY Edition will be released on May 29th in the US. If you already own all the DLC already, you can also pick up “Harley Quinn’s Revenge” separately on the same day. Either way, I’m in. And if you needed more convincing, here’s a teaser trailer to hold you over for the next month.

  1. Many thanks for the spoiler warning, as I have yet to tackle Arkham City myself! In fact, I'll have to avoid the trailer as well, as I am completely blind to the game's story and don't want anything revealed to me at all =)

  2. I'm surprised you've been able to avoid the spoiler for so long!
