Assassin’s Creed 3 trailer tells Desmond’s Story

Fans of the AC series have been waiting patiently for the latest (and possibly greatest) installment in the franchise. Since initial screenshots and cover images first hit the net, people have been asking questions, especially about Desmond, the series’ 21st century protagonist.

Wonder no more, Desi (that’s what i like to call him, we’re pretty close) will make his return to AC3, and AC3 creative director Alex Hutchinson thinks fans will really appreciate his tie in stating

“The story of Assassin’s Creed, AC II, Brotherhood and Revelations was to build Desmond up, He’s this guy who’s a bit of a nobody when it starts out, and gets new abilities through reliving the lives of his ancestors.”

“So we’ve built this guy up over the course of the games, and I really believe that we can pay that off, and in retrospect he’ll be terrific. I don’t think anyone really liked Luke Skywalker in [Star Wars] A New Hope, but by the end of his character arc, this journey that he goes through, makes him amazing.”

For anyone living under a rock Assassin’s Creed 3 is set to hit retailers for PS3 and 360 on October 30th, followed by a PC launch nearly a month later on November 23rd and as a WiiU launch title.
