Assassin’s Creed III DLC Reveals an Evil George Washington
Now this is something different – for a series that prides itself on its relative historical accuracy, Ubisoft is seemingly going off the creative deep end with their latest announced DLC for Assassin’s Creed III. Dubbed The Tyranny of King Washington, this single-player DLC will come in three parts and will take on a “what if?” scenario that sees the inaugural President of the United States take on a villainous role:
As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.
This new DLC will be available with the purchase of the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, which will available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network. It will also be available for purchase separately, though individual pricing on the DLC has yet to be revealed. Also, you potential Wii U owners have nothing to fear, as all planned ACIII DLC is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo’s platform as well, though no specifics have been announced in that regard, especially if said DLC will arrive the same day as on other platforms.
At the end of the day, it looks like we will have to assassinate a President. Prepare for the incoming PR s**tstorm that this very concept will bring about in the near future…
