Bayonetta 2 Announced as a Wii U Exclusive
In an announcement that took everyone by surprise, Nintendo has announced that Bayonetta 2 will be a Wii U exclusive title. Developed by Platinum Games and published by Nintendo, the sequel to the hit 2009 action game will bring back everyone’s naughty witch, along with her trademark weapon the Scarborough Fair (albeit with a new blue paint job). A quick teaser video of the game was shown, although it was merely a pre-rendered cutscene and no actual gameplay was shown; in fact, only the right foot of Bayonetta herself is shown, along with an unnamed enemy. No release date has been given for the game, although as stated before, it’s a Wii U exclusive, and looks to stay that way considering Nintendo is handling the publishing duties. The trailer is available below for your viewing pleasure:
While this is certainly a great bit of news for Nintendo, it’s also a rather strange choice considering this move completely alienates the original audience that Bayonetta catered to; after all, the original was never available on a Nintendo console to begin with, so now Xbox and PlayStation owners are out of luck if they want to play the next game in the series on their console.
Smart move, Nintendo.

lolwut? .. this is a stupid move, sure, go ahead and abandon the original fans. Nintendo, I hate you.
