Video BioShock Infinite ‘Beast of America’ Trailer Released

Bioshock Infinite Beast of America

A new trailer for Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite  has been released, with an opening that closely mirrors the one found in the original BioShock . Certainly, that little lighthouse scene in the ocean was shown deliberately to tease longtime fans of the series, even though the game apparently doesn’t reference events in the previous two installments. Without further ado, the trailer is available below for your viewing pleasure:

Alas, there are no new storyline revelations to be found here (in fact, there isn’t much on the story at all in this trailer), and the trailer is essentially just showing off the gunplay and use of Vigors and Nostrums. There’s nothing wrong with that, although the use of Nico Vega’s “Beast”  is a bit of an oddity for use here, especially considering the retro environment of Columbia and the rest of the world found within the game. Perhaps a more era-appropriate song would have been used for better implementation in this instance?

On the bright side, at least it wasn’t another useless dubstep song thrown in for no other reason than out-of-touch marketing execs trying to be hip to their intended audiences.
