There is nothing quite as amusing and as logic-defying as a fanboy's one-sided train of thought. Proof of such hilarity was found at the Final Fantasy XIII launch party at the HMV store in London, where Final Fantasy fans heavily booed the prospect of winning a free Limited Edition Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Bundle.
Yea......booing a FREE console giveaway (with the game that they all came to celebrate in the first place).
Now, you could go ahead and ponder the logistics of such a thing happening and try to wonder why they were booing something that could be won for free, but after about 3 seconds you will come to the inevitable realization that there is no such possible reason for this. It would seem that the Final Fantasy XIII launch party in London was completely populated by fanboys and their blind passion of how Final Fantasy should stay exclusive to the PlayStation (even though the series started on the NES, but don't tell them that!). "But the Xbox 360 version is inferior! It sucks!" you may say. Now if that were the case, there's still no reason why you would boo winning an Xbox 360 bundle, as you didn't pay for the thing in the first place. Let's assume that you do hate the 360 with a fire of a thousand suns and you do end up winning it. Wouldn't the best thing to do be to sell the system to someone who would actually appreciate it, like on Ebay? That way, you would get rid of the thing that you abhor so much, and simultaneously gain some profit for something you didn't pay a cent for.
However, I am putting far too much thought into this, and a fanboy would somehow take all of my reasonings as complete and utter bs, and say that I am an X-bot, or something of the like. Oh well, that's the internet for you; and while we may facepalm at the ramblings and actions of fanboys, they at least make the internet a very interesting place, right?
