Capcom Releases New Dead Rising 2: Off The Record Videos

Capcom has recently released two new videos to hype up the upcoming October release of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, which is the Frank West-themed alternate take on Dead Rising 2. The first video focuses on what Frank has been up to between the events of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, and what caused Frank West to go from hero to hitting rock bottom. On a side note, why does Frank look so ripped in the part where’s he’s chugging some booze in what seems to be a hotel room? It’s curious, as Capcom has recently changed Frank West’s body type as of late to be pudgier than he was in the original game (not to mention a receding hairline).

The second video is a quick gameplay snippet from Off The Record which shows off a new combo weapon, Lazer Eyes, which is an alien mask that does what it says; shoots frickin’ lazer beams! As can be seen in the video, Frank is killing the undead en masse with the lazer beams of doom, although I can only imagine that a weapon of such a powerful caliber will not last too long, and will wear out rather quickly. Still, it’ll be interesting to give the Lazer Eyes a shot (pun intended)!
