Enter DOOM 3′s “Lost Mission” in New Trailer

A new trailer for the upcoming DOOM 3 BFG Edition has been released, and it shows off a glimpse of the new campaign levels, of which this one is titled “Lost Mission”. It’s a quick video, and doesn’t really look much different than the rest of what you see in DOOM 3 vanilla, which is to say, expect many dark and claustrophobic interior environments.

I know id Software is touting that the game is visually remastered, but it honestly looks no different to me than it did playing on the highest settings via the PC. Perhaps I’m missing something here, but I would expect a little more visual “oomph” to the overall game other than the native widescreen support (which is a nice touch). At the end of the day, at least console owners will finally be getting an faithful port of DOOM 3, so it’s not all a bad thing I suppose.
