[FAIL!] Faro Starts Her 31 Day DDR Challenge

[UPDATE] Sorry folks (v__v). Due to recent events, I can no longer commit to the 31 Day DDR Challenge.  This sucks! It was definitely going well with decent results although I was slackin’ most of the time. I’m sure losing 10lbs. in a week is possible using DDR the way that I did during the challenge. I hope to prove it sometime in the near future. Until then, my two dance pads will be on vacation. Thanks for checkin’ in!

Ok folks! I’m getting a tad chunky. It’s time to lose some poundage. I’ve tried the gym…too darn lazy for that. Didn’t even last a straight week there. So…I remembered…back when I was young and thin, I would play this game everyday that was possibly the reason I stayed in shape. Yup! Dance Dance Revolution!!! On May 23rd, I finally made the decision to re-introduce DDR into my life and made the purchase on Amazon. I was a sucker for the free $30 gift card offer (received after qualifying for an Amazon Rewards Visa card) so I got a good deal and an additional ball and chain. Moving on, I received my package on May 27th, Memorial Day Weekend…PERFECT!

Kidster's done playing. I guess it's my turn.

After getting super excited to get back on my DDR groove, I thought, wouldn’t it be awesome to set a weight loss goal and log it for ESG? Well then, that’s exactly what I’m doing! Here are the details of the DDR Challenge:

Challenge Starts:
June 1st

Ends:
June 31st

Goal:
Lose 10lbs. by the end of the month.

Workout Plan:

  • 1 hour of DDR on Expert Mode in the morning.
  • 1 hour of DDR on Expert Mode in the evening.

* Amount of calories burned will be logged by dancing with Workout Mode switched on.

Diet Plan:
Just watching what I eat and counting the calories. Less red meats, Not too many carbs, a loose easy-going diet plan.

The challenge was supposed to begin on the 31st of May but due to minor setbacks, It was pushed back a day. Why? Well because of these reasons:

  1. I hadn’t weighed myself ’til last night. UH DUH! How can I have a target weight loss if I don’t know how much I weigh!!!???
  2. I worked out for an hour on the evening of May 31st but didn’t wake up in time to workout the next morning (>_<). However, I did work out on the evening of June 1st. Therefore, the results of May 31st and June 1st will be combined to form Day 1 of the DDR Challenge! Now, we are up to speed!
