Full 25-Song Soundtrack For Rock Band Blitz Unveiled

Rock Band Blitz Logo

With the impending release of Rock Band Blitz  just two weeks away, Harmonix has opened the lid and revealed the full 25-song soundtrack that will come with the game. In a bit of an unexpected move (and which may be good or bad news, depending on who you ask), the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Give It Away”  and Soundgarden’s “Spoonman”  will be a part of the final track list. Why is this unexpected, you may ask? You see, these two songs were originally on the Rock Band 2  game disc; when Rock Band 3  was released back in 2010, users were able to export the songs from Rock Band 2  onto the new game – while the majority of the songs were able to be exported without any issues, these two songs were victims of some licensing roadblocks and as a result were not exportable.

While it’s nice to see these two popular tracks make a return for the fans (or for those who never played Rock Band 2 ), it’s also a bit of a shame that two completely new tracks were not chosen in their place instead. Regardless, you can check out the official press release below, which contains the complete songlist!
