Grand Theft Auto 5 Coming Soon, Trailer on Nov. 2nd

While we probably all suspected somewhere in the back of our minds that Grand Theft Auto 5 was in development at some wing in Rockstar Games, I doubt anyone could’ve suspected that the announcement would come sailing out of the clear blue sky this morning.

If you point your browser to the website for Rockstar, you’ll be greeted with this splash image above and the subtitle, “Trailer 11.02.11″. So, sometime next Wednesday – I’d guess around Noon Eastern, as that’s usually when Rockstar’s trailers drop, but that’s just a guess – we’ll get our first look at the follow-up to GTAIV, one of the biggest and most expensive games of all time, as well as one of the most successful. So far, there are no clues as to the setting, characters, story, etc. The only clues are the green Roman Numeral “V” and the font used to spell out “Five”, which to me suggests money and nice weather climates.  I get a real Scarface vibe from this logo, although we’ve already been to Vice City. So many questions!!!

In the absence of any real information about this game, I throw it open to you. What do you think the new Grand Theft Auto will include? Will we be back in Vice City, or another place? Who will our main character be? Will Lazlo be back on the radio? We’ll get our first taste of GTAV, and hopefully some answers, next week.
