Halo 4 Set to Launch on November 6, 2012

We knew it was coming eventually, but now we all have a firm date on the release of Halo 4: the next entry in the franchise launches worldwide for the Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012.

“We are beginning a new saga with ‘Halo 4’ and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of ‘Halo’ games and experiences,” said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios. “Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and with ‘Halo 4’ leading the charge, we’re confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history.”

In some additional news, it appears that Microsoft will be announcing additional details regarding Halo 4 on tonight’s episode of Conan, the Conan O’Brien late-night talk show on TBS, which airs at 11PM EST. Will it be a new trailer, perhaps? I suppose we’ll all have to wait and see what both Microsoft and Team Coco come up with tonight!
