Hilarious Shenmue Parody Created Via Sleeping Dogs

The internet never ceases to amaze – Youtube user DSimphonyHD has recreated the classic world of Yu Suzuki’s gaming masterpiece Shenmue  through some clever editing of the recently released Sleeping Dogs . Among what is parodied (in good taste) are the game’s hilariously bad English dub, as well as the infamous QTE (Quick Time Event) prompts. Those of you who have played either Shenmue  entry will certainly get a nice laugh out of this, although it simultaneously stings all the more knowing that the possibility of a Shenmue III  is still outside of our grasp.

I tell you what though, watching this video really hit me hard with nostalgic thoughts of Ryo running through the streets of Dobuita, Japan. How I miss thee, Shenmue .
