Video Nintendo Download For Week of 3-29-2012

Nintendo Download 3-29-2012

While the Nintendo Download usually doesn’t bring the big guns, it looks like this week’s offering is somewhat enjoyable, as there is both a billiards game, 90′s Pool, and a retro-inspired platformer, Mutant Mudds, to rope people in. While the billiards game can either be fun or a complete stinker, Mutant Mudds has been receiving praise out there by fans and various media outlets, and there is a demo available now on the 3DS eShop for people to try out before making a decision on whether or not to purchase the game. I’ve given the demo a try, and this certainly appears to be a nice little gem that fans of old-school platformers will be right at home with – give the demo a try, folks!

You can check out a trailer for Mutant Mudds below, which features retro-inspired music and unique 3D platforming elements that allow you to play in both the background and foreground, which reminds me of the excellent Virtual Boy game Virtual Boy Wario Land:
