NYC Engadget Reader Meetup Recap
Days after the Engadget Reader Meet-up and post Irene, we’ve got your recap! The meetup took place at the Guastavino’s, underneath the Queensborough Bridge. About a thousand attendees made there arrival at the tech geek gathering this year. Several local Tech vendors showcased their latest and greatest products on both the top and bottom level floors reserved for the event. Vendors such as Western Digital, AC Gears, Magnetic 3D, and Boxee. Besides the open Q&A, the frequent raffles, and free food, what made the night most epic seemingly for everyone was the moment an iPad 2 was smashed to bits and put together on stage in front of all the drooling Engadget readers, including yours truly.Witness the damage here.
Of course, we took plenty of pics of the event. Some of you may be waiting to see if you’ve made the cut. We’ve finally uploaded the pics to our Flickr account so now you’re free to take a looksy.
We even scored some quality time with Mr. Tim Stevens, Editor-In-Chief of Engadget. ATTENTION! What you are about to see is not the typical cut and edit video intertiew you’d expect. We wanted to make this interview with Tim as genuine as possible with “fun” being the main focus. Here’s a brief raw and uncut interview with Tim Stevens.
We want to thank the staff of Engadget for being as warm welcoming as they were. Big shout out to Tim for being such a great sport. Also, make sure to get all of your Tech news from Engadget.com or else I’ll disappear. You don’t want that now do yah?
