[UPDATE!] - Tryouts actually begin this Thursday, February 11th. Tryouts will be held at the PNC Studios located on 10 Jay St. Ste: 206 Brooklyn, NY. In order to be considered for tryouts, DJ Heros must RSVP via email:

PNC Radio, an urban online radio station and media brand is partnering with BringIt.com and Wax Poetics Magazine for a two week long DJ Hero Tournament starting February 22nd. Try outs start today and end on February 20th. To try out, head over to PNC Studios located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. 64 contestants will be chosen to compete in the tournament. Each day, during the two week competition, 4 contestants will battle head-to-head. There will be 3 parts to the score system; highest score, online votes and creativity. The judges, most worthy of judging this competition, are the PNC Radio DJs themselves.
The event will be broadcasted live on PNCRadio.fm, So if you aren't competing, you can at least take a listen to the intense competition as it plays out. Now, What exactly will the DJ Heros battle for? Prizes are as follows:
Grand Prize - $1,000 Cash
Second Place - 1 yr subscription to Wax Poetics Magazine
Third Place - A chance to be a guest DJ on the PNC Radio show of their choice.
The first-runner-up will receive 500 BringIt.com Bucks. As for those that are left in the dust with no winning titles, there will be consolation prizes and giveaways.
