Video Rock Band DLC For Week of 10-9-2012

Billy Madison Trans Am Scene

It’s going to be a beautiful time for Rock Band  fans, as next week they are transported to the eighties with a trio of tracks from both Billy Squier A Flock of Seagulls. You would have to be living under some special kind of rock if you haven’t heard of the classic 80s hits “I Ran (So Far Away)”, “Everybody Wants You”, and “The Stroke”, but for the latter I always am reminded of the classic Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison  when Billy returns to high school:

It goes without saying that next week will be a great week for the Rock Band  DLC library. O’ Doyle rules!

In 1982, English New Wave band A Flock of Seagulls found worldwide success with their self-titled debut record. “I Ran (So Far Away),” a single from that album, became one of the band’s biggest hits, making its way to the Billboard Hot 100 and charts around the globe!Rocker Billy Squier had a string of hits during the 80s, as well, two of which will make their way to the Rock Band Music Store next week: “The Stroke,” the debut single from 1981’s Don’t Say No and the opening track from 1982’s Emotions in Motion, “Everybody Wants You,” which held on to the top spot of Billboard’s Hot Mainstream Rock tracks for six weeks straight!

All three tracks will be available as singles on the Rock Band Music Store; a Pro Guitar and Pro Bass Upgrade will be available for “The Stroke.”

Additionally, Rock Band Blitz players who play any of these tracks will earn double coins for each play, as well as double coins for each time they play Billy Squier’s “Christmas Is the Time to Say I Love You,” which was previously released on the Rock Band Music Store!
