Rock Band DLC For Week of 8-28-2012: Rock Band Blitz

While next week’s Rock Band  DLC selection isn’t a dedicated pack per se, what will be released will be compatible with the game itself. The long-awaited Rock Band Blitz  will be released on PlayStation Network on August 28 and on August 29 for Xbox LIVE Arcade. As we reported on last week, Blitz  comes with a 25-song soundtrack which can also be played via instruments on Rock Band 3 , so it’s a good value either way you look at it. In regards to value, you can expect to see Rock Band Blitz  available for $14.99 on PSN and for 1200 MS Points on XBLA.

After several grueling months of waiting, Rock Band Blitz is finally coming out next week! Rock Band Blitz hits PlayStation Network on August 28th and Xbox LIVE Arcade on August 29th. These tracks will not only be playable as part of Rock Band Blitz’s frantic, controller-based arcade experience, but in Rock Band 3 with full instrument support at no additional charge!

In addition to these great tracks, Rock Band Blitz is also compatible with most your existing Rock Band music library, including content from the Rock Band Music Store, as well as tracks exported from Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and more!

Rock Band Blitz is scheduled for release on PlayStation®Network on August 28th for $14.99 and Xbox LIVE Arcade on August 29th for 1200 MS Points.

There will also be a demo version available at launch for those of you that want to take the game around for a test drive before committing to a purchase. The trial version will include “One Week”, “These Days” and “Death on Two Legs” and will have limited access to power ups and additional features. Check it out if you’re not sold on Blitz yet, we think you’ll dig it!

And, finally, for those Wii rockers out there that won’t have access to Rock Band Blitz, we’ve arranged a special release just for you to to make sure that you’ve got something to download. All three of the Rock Band Blitz demo songs will be available as stand alone tracks on the Wii available for purchase on August 28th!
