Rock The Vote Killed the Crowd with AC3 Themed Art Exhibit
We had the privilege of attending Rock the Vote‘s “Art of the Assassin” event Wednesday night which took place at The Hole. In a very clever and good willed attempt to drive Gamers to vote, Rock the Vote partnered with Ubisoft to host the event which featured displayed artwork inspired by Assassin’s Creed III. Each gallery wall was adorned with canvases which portrayed the very essence of the series in fine and creative detail. Artwork by Mark Dean Veca, Dual Forces, Ariel Erestingcol, Racecar 13, Artek, Justin Bartlett, Alex Ross, Brian Flynn, Max Neutra, Snyder, and Thank You X impressed us all (I hope I mentioned everyone). It was an absolute pleasure to witness.
As attendees admired the decor, staff members served delicious appetizers to those hungry due to the generous open bar. PBRs, an AC3 themed Long Island Iced Tea and whiskey drinks (Jack Daniels specifically) were on the menu. I was more than happy with the complimentary PBRs. I’m a light weight. For those with media passes, a demo of AC3 (which will also be available at New York Comic Con) was available on site within the VIP section of the gallery. Unfortunately, news and comments concerning AC3 could not be disclosed at the time. However, you can expect those details to be shared at New York Comic Con which begins today!
Multiple live DJ sets ultimately confirmed that this was no regular art exhibit. Tony Touche’s DJ set of course being the most impressive. That surprise performance by Prodigy was a shocker. The party was indeed revolutionary. There were nothing but good times and great vibes at this event. I believe Rock the Vote’s mission was well accomplished. You may have noticed, we took plenty of snapshots. You might find your face below. Big thanks to Rock the Vote and Ubisoft for hosting such an important event for the Gaming community, especially in New York City.
