Team Fortress 2 Goes Co-op With “Mann vs. Machine” Mode
There were rumors abound, and now there is confirmation: Team Fortress 2 now has a co-op mode. Dubbed “Mann vs. Machine”, the new mode has members of both RED and BLU teams facing off against a horde of robots who are trying to set off a bomb in a given game map. Avid fans have been chewing at the recent unveiling of a new member of the Mann family, Gray Mann, who is the mastermind behind building the new robot horde. There’s a lot of story info to digest here for those interested, and I would certainly recommend checking out the official TF2 Wiki to read up on the game’s surprisingly deep backstory and be up to speed on current events.
A stylish new trailer has been made for the debut of the new game mode, which is now live for all PC users:
For those of you attempting to play tonight, good luck – the servers will undoubtedly be hammered with players trying to download and play the new game mode. Patience will be your friend if you try and download the game update on Steam. Oh, and one other thing – this new mode (as well as all previous game enhancements) are exclusive to the PC version of Team Fortress 2 , so don’t expect to ever see this available on the console editions of the game. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles, folks.
