Ubisoft Releases Assassin’s Creed Embers Trailer

While the trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming animated short Assassin’s Creed Embers debuted at last week’s Comic-Con, there was no official way to see it online….that is, until now. Ubisoft has finally let the trailer out for the public to see, and Assassin’s Creed fans will definitely want to watch this one. Embers tells the tale of the (seemingly) final days of Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s life, as age and years of punishing his body have caught up to him. However, it looks as though there is one final thing that Ezio must do to bring closure to his part in the grand scheme of things.

Created by Ubiworkshop, the 20-minute short film will come included with the Gamestop-exclusive Assassin’s Creed Revelations Signature Edition, and will also be available for download on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network when the game launches on November 15. As can be seen, the short film utilizes a semi-cartoonish visual style, which is akin to the style seen in Team Fortress 2, which may or may not please Assassin’s Creed fans; I’m fine with it, although it would have been amazing if they uses the same CG quality that was used in the recent E3 trailer

You can check out the trailer below…and try to hold back the tears.
