Valve Unleashes Halloween Details, Undead Horde

In their tradition of over-the-top Halloween special events, Valve has thrown back the white sheet on their details for this year’s fright-fest. For the next two weeks, TF2 will be infested by eldritch alterations, and a swarm of the shambling undead.

An undead-themed Mann Versus Machine map, featuring “a single apocalyptic wave of zombies”, was among the listed additions for this holiday season. The event also features a new King Of The Hill map, featuring Merasmus, Soldier’s ghostly, sorcerous, and enraged roommate, and his various arcane tricks, like a “Wheel of Fate” that activates every time the Control Point is captured, with magically randomized effect. Also available for this fortnight of fright are new drops, in the form of spells, to be cast throughout the battlefield through your backpack.

 

The Fourth Annual Scream Fortress event begins today, October 26th, and runs until November 8th.
