X-Play Host Adam Sessler No Longer at G4

Adam and Faro

News broke today that X-Play Co-Host and G4TV.com Editor in Chief Adam Sessler has left the cable network. Very little information is available now as neither G4 or Mr. Sessler have made a public statement, but Kotaku speculates through their sources that the split was over a contract dispute, and the split was not amicable.

Sessler had been with the network’s flagship gaming program X-Play since the program was called “Gamespot TV” on ZDTV. ZDTV later changed its name to TechTV and the program was rebranded as Extended Play or X-Play with the addition of co-host Morgan Webb. Recently, other hosts have been taking over on-camera duties on X-Play and with Sessler’s departure from the network, that makes Webb the only TechTV personality to still be working at G4. If you remember G4 when its focus was primarily gaming (the “good ol’ days”, as I like to call it), this is truly the end of an era.
